Re: New SP standalone sampler is HERE
Decided to move up in the world so sold my SP404SX and bought a Toraiz SP-16 cheap from eBay, initial feelings are this was completely the right move.

Re: how do i transfer samples to my keyboard
The only way to do it would be to chop the sample on the pads of your SP and play them via midi using the keys of your keyboards.
As far as I can see (after a swift Google) neither of those keyboards have the ability to play user samples internally.

Re: Thinking about selling my SP-303. Am i stupid? :)
I've bought and sold a few SP's over the years (202,303,404SX,505 & 808) and the only two that I bought a!second time were the 505 and 404SX.
I liked my 303 but I'd bought it for cheap after selling my first 404SX and to be honest I just found it less convenient to use.

Re: Hope for a zip -replacement in the next year !!!
I don't currently own an 808 but would consider buying one again and backing this project if I can find one for a reasonable price. It's only the dreaded Zip disks that have currently put me off the machine.

Re: Best place to buy an SP1200? (UK)
They don't turn up that often in the UK, you're probably best off buying one from the US or Japan, just make sure it's a reputable seller.
Also I'd recommend getting a later grey and black model instead of an older all grey unit.
As for price I doubt you'll get one for under £3k these days unless ...

That looks amazing please tell me it will run on OSX too ? I'd actually pay for a finished bankrobberesque app.

If a zip replacement becomes reality I'd certainly be looking to pick up a secondhand SP-808 again.

I use these too, they have two sizes, one for tablets and one slightly bigger for laptops.
The bigger one is perfect for drum machines like Akai Rhythm Wolf or the Machine Mikro.

Re: SP-303 Pricing
In the UK they seem to usually sell for around the £200-£230 however the last auction I watched on eBay.uk sold for £275 which was more than I expected !
