i was at outside lands in sf on friday.

i spotted a 404 in manu chau's set up.

beck literally did an entire song with all of his members rocking SP's (i spotted one 404 and two 303's) and thats it.

and of course, spotted the 303 during radiohead.

it was a sweet day.

bounce or export it.

it'll be in the file menu.

just count the length of your piece in bars, and tell it to bounce accordingly.

if you need any help with logic, just post your questions here.

some basics:

your main weapons are going to be track automation, inserts, and the sample editor.

track automation can be found under the view toggle, and once you activate, make sure you tell it to apply to all tracks, and ...

So there is a huge difference...

...between reading the manual online, and finally having the box to play with.

Just got it on the 4th, $200.

Having a lot of fun; will be having more fun once I get me a flashcard, and get rid of these cheese ass pre-loaded samples.

I'm refraining from asking 404 questions for awhile ...

Logic Studio/Pro would be a very very handy recording system to own for creating loops, and converting samples to .aiff/.wav at the perfect length & bpm...not to mention it is an amazing sequencer, and recording software. It would be super helpful if you're attempting to supplement the abilities of ...

i would say you'll have a better chance of coming up with something cool if you don't try to apply your sampler to what everyone else is doing, but have everyone else apply their instruments to what the sampler is doing.

because it'll just be a son of a bitch to try and get the tempo of loops to ...

thats where i got the idea. my friend made so much bank in like 7th grade, just by downloading albums, burning cd's, and bringing them to lunch time.

i tried applying that method to the internet.

clearly i dont not have a mind for business.

one time, when i was younger...i attempted to go on various artist/band dedicated forums, and sell bootlegged live shows from those artists in the form of burnt cd's. for $5 a pop.

i guess in my young mind, i thought i was the only one with the capability to find said bootlegs.

almost ...

no no. i mean how, as in literally how do you do it, not what are your preferences.

literally, how do you make it so the kick is on pad 1, etc. etc.

but how is it that you organize it so that say you have a kick drum on pad 1, snare on pad 2, hi hat on pad 3, etc. etc.

i've been wondering this too. how is it you organize samples on the specific pads you want them?

and the wav converter will do that on the 555, no?
