Anyone know what size of screws the 202 uses to secure the back?

For some reason the fx don't work on bank B

My banks C and D aren't working, but I don't have a mem card loaded in, so thinking that may be the issue. bank B also has limited functioning. Just got this 202 in the mail yesterday

Notes are assigned to the pitch bank similar to a piano, with sharps/flats on the top row of pads and naturals on the bottom. The keys/pads that are flats and sharps in the chromatic scale are black on the 505. Well thought out design.

if anyone else runs into this problem i figured a workaround. keep mfx on, keep ctrl knob 2 all the way to the left in the off position, then turn ctrl 3 to the right when you want to trigger the bpm looper. move ctrl knob 3 it back to the left when you want the looping to stop.

2 questions: Does anyone know of alternate methods to get the bpm looping effect with software or hardware? And does anyone else have issues with the 404sx bpm looper sometimes triggering a momentary silence over the entire track? Happens about 1 out of every 5 times I activate the bpm looper and it ...

I kick myself everyday for not picking up an SP-555 when nobody wanted them and they were selling for $499. Then Madlib made a vid using one and prices skyrocketed.

Most of the 555s are under $500 to buy now on ebay, but they ship from Japan so that will cost another 40-60 bucks

I think you're better off with a 404og than a 303 to start off. 404 can run on batteries while 303 has to be plugged into ac power. Also the processing times on the 303 take too long. I'd consider the 505 though as well. Has that same sound as the 303 with the good vinyl sim, in a more complete ...

Thanks I just realized my mistake now then came back to this thread. Like you said I was using only the internal memory and need to use the card banks. How much space is on the 505's internal memory? I was able to keep all the stock drums and still stored a ton of loops on the internal memory alone ...

I just got a sp505 to supplement my current setup with propellerhead reason 5 and recycle 2, specifically to add the signature roland effects to my productions. I've seen people altering the lfo and other effects while recording live on the 404, is this possible on the 505?
