Re: using sp555 to put effects on tracks in ableton
ableton has an external effect FX in the list. You would have to have an audio interface capable of having another output to your sp then your sp would go back in. Otherwise you would end up just doing it the work around way of sending the sound to your sp, sampling it, then sending it back in. I ...

Ableton Crashes When SP is used as audio interface
Hi again,
i have been using the sp as my sound card for quite a while now and usually never had any problems. maybe a crash here and there but nothing like this:
i started a new ableton project and got mostly audio tracks in it. one vst so far.
when i hit play it works fine but after a little while ...

Re: Forced to format CF card
i just updated it. going to get at least one more cf card and then one that was mentioned on here.
but yea, backing up is the key. you always have to go to the goddamn computer. feel like my eyes are tiny squares from looking at screens.
thanks

Re: using sp555 to put effects on tracks in ableton
yea, i wanted to do this yesterday and then i figured out it was bullshit. sorry.
one possibility to not having to go back and forth with the sample would be plugging it into your sound card via the cinch output on the back. but if you're using the sp-555 as your soundcard then there's no way ...

Re: Importing/converting 24 bit samples
i had the same problem and i'm kind of doing the same to solve it. i look for the right samples in ableton, drag them into audacity and then export as .wav. that makes them 16 bit.
if there's a better way i am listening!
but i guess you always have to convert them.

Re: Live looping for acoustic guitar
he records everything using the loop capture. you can choose to loop 1, 2 or 4 bars (with the bpm that you have set) or record freely up to 15 seconds and overdub it as it loops (with rec button lit of course)
hope that helps

Re: Make ableton record with more volume
hmmm
doesnt seem to work. the volume on my headphones is still lower when i play back the clip i recorded in ableton compared to hitting the pad.
the gain doesnt really change anything except that the sound rolls over (?) and it gets really loud without me doing anything.
