That's on you my friend. Either wait until you can get a good deal on a 5 volt 2mb/4mb card, or swap it for a 303/404/505/606.....?
I'd find out at least if you order another card, and it doesn't work, then it might be the 202's memory card reader is the culprit. But you won't know until you try ...

Re: How Do I Know If My Card Is Giving Me Extended Sample Ti
Sounds like you had a faulty card, even though it was the right voltage. That's gonna hurt your pocket book to replace it. I'd feel just as pissed off as you're maybe going to feel.
I'm thinking it isn't even worth it to replace. So now, the SP-202 is basically... useless to me? Dammit. I need ...

How Do I Know If My Card Is Giving Me Extended Sample Time?
I have a feeling my SP-202 is not reading the memory card. It seems that I have only factory default sampling time even with the card in. I've attempted to erase all previous saves on the card and format it. Neither of these things have resulted in me getting the extended sample time. Can anyone ...

This was really great! I assume you had the blessing of the supervillain to release this EP? Considering you have some really sweet looking and official looking merch (the shirts)?

First Beat Using the SP-202... "Grime Murder"
I used the 202 for effects mostly. All the sequencing and mixing was done in Ableton.

Re: the card problem, again.
The manual states 2 or 4MB 5v cards. Mine came with a 4MB card works fine.

Re: the card problem, again.
Oh no. So what you're saying is if I have a 4mb 5volt card it won't work? It needs to be 2mb? Because that might explain why I still don't have extended sample time even when I put the 4mb card in. Shit...

Re: Making Drum Breaks Hit Hard With the SP-202
if you have a turntable or tape deck with pitch control, you could sample drums pitched up and then use the pitch effect to slow them back down. or filters, or reduced quality record mode might do the trick.

Making Drum Breaks Hit Hard With the SP-202
Sorry to be a forum leech and not contribute but I'm new to the machine. I'll contribute where I can in the future, rest assured. But I was wondering how folks usually treat their drum breaks in the 202 to give them some real grit and punch? Aside from mixing them later in a DAW, what are some of ...

Re: Has Anyone Recorded the SP-202 into Ableton?
all you need is an audio track.
once you record your sample into ableton live, you can crop and reloop your sample.
I usually tap-tempo the bpm of the loop in ableton live and then use the warp function to stretch it into the right amount of bars that fit the sample.
Sweet! Would you mind ...
