The 404 is only "lofi" when you use the lofi setting. Otherwise, it's recording high quality uncompressed stereo wav files. If I sample from a clean source my samples come out pretty clean.

In any case, I use the filter-drive effect to reduce hiss when I sample into my 404SX and I think it works ...

I don't know how strict the rules are, but i think you guys missed some points in the rules..
Real quick one. 159 was sampled from some kid counting from youtube and the bass notes are from the subsonic effect, all sp 404, didn't do any bouncing.
