If you've got the editor disc you could hook it up to a computer and make you're own preset that way. Obviously having no screen you'd have to make sure you save it somewhere that will be easy to navigate to. I'm not sure whether you can overwrite the first preset, but I know you so can set it so a ...

I just made my own preset on the mpd26 to trigger the 404, the MIDI chart's in the SPI section. Or just dial through the MIDI notes while triggering a pad on the mpd, until the right pad triggers on the 404 and save it as a preset on the mpd.

I must admit, I thought it was the shape of things to come when I found out Wakai was discontinuing the MPC1000.
It's good to know Korg are releasing modern revamps of classics and all new analogue gear.
EMU, Roland, please jump on the bandwagon and give us SP-1200 and
MS-1 remakes.

I bought my 505 with no idea about it's features other than it sampled and had 16 pads. All I knew was that I had to get a sampler, so I did.

I'm fairly sure Damu the Fudgemunk uses an unexpanded mpc2000 and doesn't seem to have any problems.
