ugh, just finished mine. its pretty whacked out because i resampled this like hell. is that allowed/am i too late to post the beat?

I've tried experimenting with it and have found I like the results when I record a tape with dbx 'on' then do playback with it 'on' while its bouncing to my sp or daw.

Still have some research to do so i actually understand the whole process better but it seems to add some nice hiss and compression

im having a tough time figuring my 414 (not mkII) out without the manual. just got it a week or so ago off craigslist. i thought there was a playback issue but apparently its designed to only have one speed that sounds sped up on playback with conventional tapes... how exactly do you guys have it ...

im in nyc too, would totally be down to link up or pass some stuff over the web if anyone else is down
