Re: anybody use ableton 8/9 to track out? could use some hel
I have seen the video where he said "I need the computer to get the tracks out onto"
I agree with you though I don't think his method of tracking out is nothing too complicated...like you said he probably gets somebody to do the final mix

Re: anybody use ableton 8/9 to track out? could use some hel

that brings me to ask another question...for example if samiyam/dibia$e made a track on the 404 and tracked the entire beat out to a daw how do this guys get these beats mixed ...

Re: anybody use ableton 8/9 to track out? could use some hel
I dont know what you need the VST for but just record your tracks into ableton. Simple as that. Most tracks are just loops so just record those loops into ableton, gotta volume down other parts to single out the parts you want to record, then just do it in the simpliest way possible. It seems like ...

Re: anybody use ableton 8/9 to track out? could use some hel
you can sample all your parts into ableton live then re arrange on ableton live.
or
you could just get it as close as you can on the sp and record to ableton live and use the EQ to tweak to your liking.

anybody use ableton 8/9 to track out? could use some help
okay, typically when I track out to ableton I track out the entire beat but I was wondering how to go about tracking individual parts of the beat for full editing capabilities (bass,hi hat,kick,snare,sample...etc) anyone have experience in this?
do I need any other equipment besides what's listed ...

EQ is probably what you'll need. Also, check your cables, try a different set, you may get less signal loss.
will do thanks a lot

Re: best way to get beats from cassette to computer?
maybe I should have mentioned that I have ableton and a saffire 6 audio interface
I asked this question because I hate the way my beats sound when I track them out to ableton straight from the sp...It never really sounds like it did on the sp
