Panning control of each sample should be mandatory...

SP Skillz is when ya sample various cellphone alerts and common ringtones and then mix them in your tunes to freak people out

Man, one would think that roland would do another SP...one with pitch features and sample-panning...oh, and one that would allow the delay effect trails to trail off when the delay is switched off...
Roland really HAS gone to shit..

I dig my 404sx so much that I just grabbed another one....my head is completely spinning!

I'm mostly done with my album, which was done on just one single 404...now I'll throw down some overdubs with the new 404, then I should be done.

Hey. Yeah, I'm stoked...I love the 404sx, but I wish ya could resample with the external input....I'm basically going to be using both SP's to shuttle samples/resample a between each other with live external 'performance'.
I'm not planning on using these to play live (yet).

I just love that little monster SO much...

I spent 3 hours last night running old Elvis gospel through the 404sx's effects...SO sweet.

Completely sober over here (after years of alcoholism) and my music sounds VERY stoned/slurry/trippy/non coherent

As for portastudios....I recently got a tascam 424mk3 in MINT condition in its box with manual, a tape head demagnetizer, and 36...yes THIRTY-SIX maxell XLII 90 minute tapes still in their wrappers!!!
