all four knobs on my 404sx are getting a bit loose from carrying it around in my bag a lot, so I was wondering: is it possible to unscrew the faceplate and tighten the potentiometers or what they're called?

The others pretty much said it, but here's some tips for the samples. Think outside the box, search random shit on youtube. Search stuff like "70's vietnamese soul" or "african bossa nova".. Then if you find something good, check out the channels who posted it. There's a bunch of channels on youtube ...

I haven't participated in a beat battle on this board yet, mainly because of laziness. I tried once, and I just didn't feel the sample. Maybe instead of samples the beat battles could be based on themes (like a videogame as kel suggested). I like the idea of the resample challenge too, are they ...

When producing on the sp, do you always avoid clipping and if so, how do you maintain a decent volume level?
also, can clipping cause damage to the sp?
