I DID NOT (!!!!) RESAMPLE THE ALCHEMIST BEAT, I ONLY LOOPED IT BECAUSE IT WAS THOUGHT TO BE THE MELODIC PART TO THE DRUM PATTERN!!!! Like i already said in the beginning...

It's not my fault if someone misunderstands an answer!
Who said that in the art of sampling there would be no rules??? Like i ...

Re: Sampling

didn't you read the comments before???

like i mentioned a few comments before, it's only a looped beat without any changes i did, except setting start and end points. I never said it was created by myself (or if so, please quote!!!)

Re: Sampling

Hello
Yes, i think i will record sooner or later thru my Line In on the Macbook. Or should i consider getting a USB interface? For practise use the Line IN will surely be enough, no? This would make it lots easier to explain where i'm stuck now.

how should i say, i'm getting my drums nicely ...

Mac & 606

Hello guys, i already heard there would be no driver to use the sp606 as audio card on a macbook, running on OS10.8.4, to ensure i wanted to ask, if this is true?
And what about p606 for mac?
cheers

Re: Stiff buttons

I had the same issue, also it regulary double triggered some pads, so i disassembled mine and cleaned it with contact spray, no it works better again.
To prevent any dust getting into the system, i always put a towel over the 606 while it isn't in use.
cheers

Re: Sampling

No problem, was nice to see the other video too, even if it wasn't the one you meant to show the finger drumming video you've already suggested once to me too, looks and sounds good, but i can imagine it is difficult to learn.

I had the idea with rock/heavy metal too, because before i was totally ...

Re: Sampling

Om
Why do you think i should get a 404sx? it has no big display and only 12 pads like the mpc500 does too. i prefer having 16 pads, 4kicks, 4 snares, 4 hihats, an 4 free pads for resampled kicks, snares, hihats
i don't think i should buy a 404, it's to new for my setup )) (old school style), i ...

Re: Sampling

Yes, i consider this beattips book as a good learning tool too, but like i allready said, there is a lot of history in it too, it's not only about beatmaking and production. It is so complete and easy written. I read like half of it now, maybe... I only read at work if i'm bored lol.

Well, i wanted ...

Re: Sampling

Om, yes, that's what i thought afterwards too, because indeed the "real" old school beat is a simple beat too. i thought about adding some jazz instrument loops, but well... let's see, now i need do go to work, thank you all for your answers, and, yes, sometimes fun, but a lot of frustration too ...
