Playing off the 404sx, why would you ever want to play off a laptop? The sound is absolutely brilliant, and I didn't even use the converters, just transferred WAVs onto the card.

I'll check the manual if need be but if you have experience. I have just done this practising a set at the moment and somehow something worked - I just can't remember what I pushed !

Hello fam - I'm playing a set out tonight just on the 404sx.

Problem is this -

I'm playing a tune say on pad 1 (ungated), then I hit pad 2 to trigger a one shot with some FX but after I have released my finger (in gate mode), and now the FX has switched to pad 2 and I can't do any dubs on pad 1 ...

I now have both these models - I bought a 404sx so as to have a laptop free way to play beats away from the studio.

How would you use these two Sp's together? My flat mate has a 303 also and that vinyl comp is amazing.
