did the fatty knobs or the super knobs fit on your 404?

might not be super amazing but the reverse button on the 202 functions differently from the reverse on the other SP models. On the 202 you can start reversing at the exact moment you hit the button during sample playback. This is good for a fluid stuttering kind of effect.

I have the same two machines (404SX and KP3) and the SX definitely can't do the same thing as the KP3 on matching bpm but if you're going from the KP3 into the SX you could always just copy the bpm numbers.

I have a KP3 connected out of the SP404sx so i can always record into that i was just hoping there was a way. I guess the 303 does win here.

I have a long instrumental track on one pad and I want to resample it while recording vocals onto another pad. It seems like this is impossible because you can't resample from another pad while recording an exterior source. Any work arounds?

what steps do you guys use to achieve this sound in the style of prince and phil collins?

raw as hell definitely enjoyed it where did you get that fat synth sound if i may ask is it a sample or produced by a synth?

oh man yea i dont want to post any spoilers just in case someone hasn't seen it yet but i seriously couldnt believe that he did that this sunday is going to be effin nuts!

haha thanks for the response man! i was messin around with my 202 and i managed to get the knobs off they are pretty solid but you are completely correct about the pots being super wobbly its kind of unnerving but i think if i just dont work it too hard it should last

what i tried to do this time around was resample with eq to take out as much bass as possible and then resample again with the subsonic to add in the bass line

I just bought a sp202 and its dope as dope can be but the knobs are mad flimsy! I'm wondering if any of you have considered replacing them and if that is even possible they don't seem to slide off like the rubbery 404sx knobs do.

i had some trouble with the subsonic effect but i think im getting a better hang of it. anyone got any tips or tricks to make the resample of subsonic not so distorted?
