Re: leaning?

I dont really know what you mean by "leaning"

I guess you could mean when finger drumming, not lifting your fingers up off the pads completely.

You can hit the pads faster if your fingers aren't having to come back to the pad after having JUST let go of it.

They kinda tell you to play guitar ...

Re: Thinking about a 202. ( already own a 505 )

It has a built in mic, two different filters, and it can get really dirty sounding. I use mine exclusively to sample with since it give my a dirtier sound than my 404. Its the only SP in the whole family that has TRUE PITCH, like a turntable.
If you have a memory card for it, you can sample onto ...

Re: Resampling method problem!!!

Resample-Rec-Stereo
then hit the pad you want to resample.

Btw not sure if you know..but if you hold Cancel then hit Rec you can use Knob 3 to set a recording threshold.
Set it to 1
Now when you sample it will only start recording when the volume of the sound coming in reaches "1" or whatever ...

Re: Resampling method problem!!!

You might be going over the voice count. Try making your drums mono instead of stereo. Should work

Re: Guitar buying tips ?

There are a couple things to keep in mind when your trying to buy an electric guitar.

What is your budget?
Semi-hollow or Solid body?
What kind of pickups would you prefer? Humbuckers or Single-coil? How many?
What style neck do you want? C,D,U,V shaped? or the variations between those?
What kind ...

Re: Resampling From DAW to SP-202 for LoFi Feel

I do this all the time. Mostly record my main sample into the 202 and then chop in ableton. Also sometimes record a whole finished track into the 202. I like to have more control of my sound so i usually just do the first.

Re: I'm new here

I use the 202 to sample mostly everything. Then make the beats in ableton. Dont get too caught up in that whole hardware vs software stuff.
If you work well in ableton, incorporate the 202 into your workflow. Bounce the shit to the 2 track after you arrange in ableton.

Have fun with the new toys ...

Re: Chopping breaks, not getting the sound I want.

Nobody cares if you chop up breaks or you use sample packs. Most people layer their sounds anyway, so they don't sound like the break or the hits from the packs.

I personally layer my drums from different packs and records to get my desired sounds. Nobody is gonna call you fake for using sample ...

Re: Does The SP 202 Have A sequencer

It doesnt have a sequencer. People usually use it with another sampler.
You can make simple beats on it though. For 40 dollars that a great deal. most of us paid around 80-140 even. Its sounds really good.
