X2 on what Heat Vision said. Also sometimes if I'm using the kick drum as bass, I'll layer a sub hit over the kick drum. I love doing this on the SP303. It is so gritty

MattCoops, Thanks for the break down on the beat. You are spot on. I threw some samples that I made with a bass guitar, guitar and sp303 over an old famous drum break (not a hiphop beat).
