definitely a 303 there's a shot of it from the side and it's black. not to mention in the other shots the pulsing blue light would stand out if it were a 404

you can't really compare the 404 to a 2500 unless you're using the exact same sounds. the 2500 is leaps and bounds ahead in terms of sequencing, chopping, programming etc.

reminds me a bit of 'horse the band'
sweet projections going.

pretty brilliant way of turning your audience from a passive yet screaming observer into a real part of the show. you can see that they covered up all but the sample pads to ensure no one was able to screw with any settings, smart.

based on my purchases and impression of the going rate on eBay, you can get a SP 303 - US$220-250. was about to write a price for the DR but i'm thinking of the SP202

8 track recording is nice. the unit itself seems really dehumanised to me.

oh and a special screen function so you can tell what pads are playing? SP still wins with light up pads.

damn, i haven't heard of this in 10 years. surprised by how expensive it is, but then again it's a custom piece of software so it's not fair to compare it mario bros for $30.
anyone looking for an alternative 8bit music maker can find a basic sequencer on the GameBoy Camera, you could create simple ...

seems to be alright, liking the improvements to the OS (namely the pads lighting up and letting you choose them when holding MFX).

found it on ebay, was clearance stock from a shop - picked it up for AU$350. A replacement wouldn't be possible as it's the last one.
i may have actually caused the ...

I've got my 404 hooked up to my Vestax PMC-05 ProIII

- it's a solid way to sample on the fly from vinyl, merge your beats and add effects to 1 or both of the channels. for now my setup is quite limited though, as the only ...

ouch! i'll update the OS now and see how we go.

thanks mate.

edit: upgraded to 1.04 - some problem with roland's ftp wouldn't let me access 1.05 and the readme - but i initialized and updated the OS and just had a jam for 20mins without a hitch. i guess the solution is the obvious conclusion ...

huge glitch!!

yes i'm a forum noob

just upgraded from the 303 to the 404, and there's something really wack goin on. When I play back any pattern, the sample patterns out of the box or my own, after 10-15mins the unit crashes, buttons remain lit but pressing them does nothing and it outputs a horrible ...
