Re: The LEAST they can do for you...

Yeah they are. They got us into this mess. They're just getting to be more and more overbearing with their greed. Too many people with jobs in the banking system are either ignorant to what is going on or they are just as selfish. I found 1 nice teller to break my $20...but she did tell me they ...

The LEAST they can do for you...

Walk into a bank with a $20 bill and ask the teller if she can break it for you. They will either reject you unless you have an account with them or-- if they have any decency at all-- they will break their "policy" and do the right thing. Fuck banks. They all just want to hold you down!!!

Re: WTF is going on in the UK?!

After more reading and seeing more interviews I've come to realize that this is a big issue--not just some Rodney King-type situation. I'm wondering, and basically just waiting to see if this creates influence for Americans to stand up against our politicians, Government, and banking system.

This ...

WTF is going on in the UK?!

I know some of you live there. Is this another Rodney King situation? Or is this a more important thing to keep tabs on...?

Re: anyone heard of QWEL and MAKER?

Together and apart they are dope. Qwel's lyrical content is a bit political...not really my taste. Maker is a great producer...but again, not my taste. But yes, I've heard of them and I have them on my iPod.

Have you ever heard of Meaty Ogre?

Edit* lol, didnt read that Meaty was already mentioned ...

Re: Cleaning Vinyl

the reason it works is wood glue(use titebond) only sticks to wood, not plastic or things with those properties. it will grab the gunk before it dries though. i work with wood glue when i build guitars. what i do is glue pieces that are wrapped in plastic, then i can just peel the plastic right off ...

Re: Cleaning Vinyl

Unless you are scratching with these records there really is no need to clean them off.

Some records get stored in bad places and end up with mouse piss on them. Id recommend using dish soap and water for those. My grandfather used to use dish soap and water... that's what I use for the dirtiest ...

Creepy.

I wonder how DMX is doing. You know, the guy who raps about raping 16 year olds. He was also locked up for some mental evaluation.

Re: how much time do you put into your tracks?

I just chop the original samples and EQ things to make the bass louder. I can't stop playing my SP like an instrument...I come from a background of playing instruments and juggling and scratching records. So, everything is more of a loop-jack or straight up rearrangement of parts I found interesting.

Re: Taking a break.

Awesome reply, Dr. Van Nostrand. I totally agree with you about Earl Klugh (lol)...but there are a few shards in-between all the classical guitar work worthy of sampling. I do agree that at some point it gets pretty cheesy though. I have one sample from one of his songs that doesn't have too much ...
