I got the sounds now how can I export patterns?

I want to record my live dj sets flawlessly. I have been told to try the ikey. Can I just use the sp 404? Will the sound be high quality and how can I convert it onto my lappy? I use serato and ableton.

I didn't think there was but had to ask you never know who may have tweaked something. Six seconds is plenty of time to make a looped sample for my I just wanted to record a sound in from my lappy or 404 and save it to one of the banks and ave it accessible when I travel to different gigs. Thanks for all the info. I have started making my loops in ableton then recording them to separate pads so they can flow together in a pattern. So far so good. I ave also taken different loops from my synth as well and its is incredible. Now I am trying to get the loops perfect so there is no skip ...

I wanna be able to take my sounds and perform them live. I already use serato and do not wanna try running ableton and serato at the same time. Plus I wanna use my sp for more than just drops. Thanks for the input.

Yea I know those basic buttons but I wanna be able to store a sample and then retrieve at a later date like after its been unplugged and taken to a show. Is there a way to store samples for good on it?

@ nothingless, what I am saying is like making a simple beat bass and snare for instance. After I have made that beat can I copy it to all 12 pads then say on pad 2 I add a synth sound. Then copy the first beat to pad 3 and do a different synth sound or do I have to create that simple beat for each ...

I have used this thing for years while djing for effects and thats it. I wanted to know if I could save samples on it and assign them to buttons up top. I know the kp3 can do this but can the KP2???

So I have made patterns and played around with drops for years. I want make some music on the fly now. Is this 404 good for a drum machine or is it best to just use it to sample other stuff and make my beats in ableton then import onto the 404???
