Re: SP-404 patterns via midi?
The only trick is (like wax inspektor mentioned in another thread) is to use the song pointer information, so that you can jump within a single pattern to different song positions....but really: who will record everything in a whole pattern for that static uncomfortable use? It would be so easy to ...

Testing: SP-404 CF Cards latency
Hey ho,
Can anyone report about different kinds of CF Cards with OG 404? And what is to say about latencies on external banks (Which CF can used for an exact timing for samples at bank C..J)? Or could at be, that it is always latence there, that the SP-404 device has a exact timing problem itself ...

Re: External Pattern Sequence editor (EPSE404 v1.5b *updated*)
A Preloop Button is now added. The first pattern can be looped 1x (so that you got a better handling for a record without sync, but to pass the time of internal precount of the SP 404).
For my setup its perfect without sync the audiosignal.
Greets, happy new year.

Re: External Pattern Sequence editor (EPSE404 v1.5 *updated*)
hey,
nice to hear. That "solo" button is also used for copy funciton. so if you select multiple padlines as solo , all solo marked will recognized for Copy/Paste. I don't know how i should call it

Re: External Pattern Sequence editor (EPSE404 v1.4a)

Re: External Pattern Sequence editor (EPSE404 v1.4a)
??? I'm not sure what you exactly want ???
Midiclock is full supported 24ppq ($f8), but not MTC(!) and the SP-404 metronome sound can be captured by the SYNC option of my tool.
Besides, the incoming midi-start/clock event doesn't start recording of SP-404, but it triggers the sequence in my tool ...

Re: External Pattern Sequence editor (EPSE404 v1.4a)
ok there is a description here:
http://www.compeng.dit.ie/staff/tscarff ... di/MTC.htm
so its full frame mtc and not midiclock. sorry, only midiclock is supported.
best regards,
rio
http://www.compeng.dit.ie/staff/tscarff ... di/MTC.htm
The Full Frame is a SysEx message that encodes the entire SMPTE time in one message as so (in hex):
F0 7F cc 01 01 hr mn sc fr F7
so its full frame mtc and not midiclock. sorry, only midiclock is supported.
best regards,

Re: External Pattern Sequence editor (EPSE404 v1.4a)
it seems, that your machine is not sending Midiclock. Maybe MTC?
I have correct the main thread, EPSE supports Midiclock only, not MTC.. That is a difference! So please setup your device direct to midiclock.
Which device are you using? SP-404 or SX. In my SP-404 manual, The Midi implementation ...

Re: External Pattern Sequence editor (EPSE404 v1.4a)
please check with midi-ox or any program with an midi-in monitor, what your external device sends out...
$FA is midi start
$FC is midi stop
$F8 is midi clock
first you have to receive a midi start....
best regards,
rio
