hi, first of all, go with your heart. if you want to sound like artist xx, then go for it, you will learn a lot by imitating. then, little by little you will add you own twist and flavour and make it your own.

even herbie hancock knew that innovation usually starts with imitation.

I really wonder though: flylo, jonti, thundercat... and the album is for free. how do they (ofwgkta) finance that ?! I see they get more exposure that way, but there has to be something coming in - is the money all in the live shows?

had the sp303 - and it was wayyyyy to slow for me. truncating, copying...took forever. also: no dj looper. I might actually grab a 404 at some point.

admbmb - why the og 404 and not the 404sx?
