Great Idea ! It will be my first competition, when will we start it and end it , given samples or any ?? Rules be set !

I have been recently making music under this name Selbst Ist , It is folktronica ish ambient tracks, I wonder if anyone else makes music under these genres or knows of any artist who use the SP to create these genres, I know four tet is one, Kim Hiorthoy uses MPC , also if anyone has any techniques ...

Im exited to hear your work, I use the 404 sx as well , add me on myspace, Im new to 404 sx and just starting to upload work for EP , I really like what the 404 is capable of , I used to have MPC 1000 very nice hardware, I dont know why MPC 2000 is so good, never researched it ,maybe I will one day ...

I have similar style and work flow to Kim Hiorthoy, We record note off instrument to pad and record pattern by playing pads(notes) like a paded piano of sorts, very fun and interesting for shows, hear my track My happy melancholy it is made that way good luck friend

I am similar situation to you, I had MPC 1000 black, I sent it back and got sp 404 sx and some other hardware, I am regretting it now though, I miss it like crazy but at the time I had it I didnt take the time to really forum on it and get to know how to use it at its finest besides hip hop, I am ...

That is very similar to my set up, I use BR 600 and Sp 404 sx and mini kp + microKORG cheers

Is it possible to play multiple patterns at once or do a track mute type thing similar to the MPC ?

For instance Kim is playing MPC1000 But I am sure it is able to do on SP, He plays the patterns yet leaves to new mode to play samples http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-9TrThj ... re=related

I dont know if I am as clear, I mean to record parts of song and play them in PATTERN SELECT, but while I am doing that , id like to go to new bank for instance and play pads as I would outside of PATTERN SELECT, So while it is playing my Patterns I could play samples as little bits and snippets ...

Ahh thank you , I see now it works, it didnt say you must format to make new Sd card work, not that I have read, many thank you's :]

It actually says The selected drive is not for the SP404sx
