if you don't have a card another method some people use is to record your samples into a software audio editor [Audacity, or in my case Logic Express] through your Line In on your computer.

I'm looking to have an analog mixer going into a 4track. Besides my own producing, I work with a band and I'd like to have a few tracks recording at once. So I'd need a mixer with enough outs [3-4] to simultaneously record more than one track at a ...

just wondering cuz i've heard of a lot of issues with a 128mb, but that's not the case with yours. And if you've already tried formatting the card, the i got no other suggestions

try reformatting the memory card if you haven't already.

Bump. I'm going through the same process of ditching my computer setup and getting a mixer and a multitrack.

I was wondering cartesia, what you ended up getting? I'm a little confused on what to get in terms of a multitrack recorder that keeps the warm sound of my 303.

I'm also bypassing the pattern sequencer on my 303 if I'm trying to arrange a song/full beat. Usually I'll use patterns just to play a short drum loop while I figure out how I wanna use my samples, and then fully sequence in logic express.

Audacity, good and free for editing samples.

Logic Express for mac, you can get most of the features of Logic Pro for $150, versus Logic Pro which is $500.

UPDATE:

I think the 128mb card is not compatible. While resampling a sample to another pad, the new sample had a loud click/buzz at the end of the sample. I marked it so it would cut out the part with the click, and then I tried to truncate.
My sp froze during the truncate process. I had to reboot ...

So I read a lot on these forums about how good the vinyl sim is on the 303, and apparently its even better than the 404.

I myself don't use it that often, so what are some of your uses for it and how do you use it in your workflow?

hmm, well i posted in this thread a few days ago saying my 128 mb worked fine, but just yesterday my sample pad#1 on bank d was mysteriously deleted...hopefully i accidently deleted it somehow rather than it being a problem with the card, but you guys are now mentioning the problem of missing ...
