Re: bass synth pedals
i think it works on my bms. iirc it also has an internal trimpot for the input gain, but i didn't touch it, cause it worked for me.
i never used a syb 3 in my own setup, so i can't comment on that. but i heard that on the behringer clone of the syb 5 you can turn down the filter response completely ...

Re: bass synth pedals
do any of these pedals trigger the attack with every note? or is there any guitar/bass playing techniques anyones used to get this going? besides muting every single note after you play it
i just own an ehx bms, and there you can set a treshold when the filter will be triggered. it depends on the ...

Re: looking for the right sampler
hey drewwardlaw,
this whole sampler-thing is just a side project, and still under developement.
so i just work on it step by step when i have the time. that means i'm still busy with all the parts of the puzzle, but never was able to get them together…
though my plan is to combine the sequences ...

Re: looking for the right sampler
hello drewwardlaw, welcome to the forum!
if you already got a sr 16, you don't have to struggle with that shitty behringer-midi thing! i recently tested my sp 404sx with the sr 16 as sequencer and it worked pretty well. i wanted to control my samples by feet, cause i also need my hands for the bass ...

Re: Any point in buying a SR-16 if i have the SP-404?
you could use the sr-16 as your sequencer to trigger your own sounds stored on the sp-404. you might escape the alesis 80s sounds this way...
the pads on the sr-16 are touch touch sensitive iirc, the ones on the sp-404 are not.
another advantage would be that you can switch at least between two ...

Re: Changing tone by MIDI.
...don't know if i understand your question correctly, but you can trigger all samples by midi note messages. actually the sp-404sx doesn't seem to be a midi champion at all. just check the midi implementation chart in the manual.

Re: Is there a workaround/hack for 99 bar pattern length?
so, if you are sending midi notes to trigger the samples on your 404 by playing patterns on the adrenalinn, is it also possible to change patterns on the adrenalinn via midi messages? basically i want to do the same thing as you (playing one songpart by firing up one midi note at the begining of a ...

Re: bass synth pedals
^^^ The thing with a lot of synth pedals is they're not really designed to be played with effectively. The Boss' knobs are too crowded to turn reliably on the fly, and while the EHX isn't too hard for me to play with, since I DJ and am used to playing with faders, the bassist isn't super ...

Re: Midi Sequencer to control a SP-404SX
I think your budget is pretty restrictive,
sequencers cost money too yknow!
i'm just slightly irritated by the price difference. the qy-10s are all about 30€ a qy-20 goes for around 130€ on ebay. that's probably 100€ for features i don't need. i mean if it is necessary to get this footcontroller ...

...oh yes, that thing is pure pain.
it took me years to programm 3 simple presets on it. at least i needed a pause of 2 years to stop my aggression against this device.
i made my presets manually, although it would be more comfotable to use a software editor:
