Re: Production school
also, my aim is I guess to be able to actually produce the songs that I create in my head, to have enough knowledge about effects, mixing, the works to actually be like, "this is what I want it to sound like", and then make it sound like that.

Re: Production school
thanks for the reply/info. Did you know (or HAVE to know) anything about the listed things prior to taking the course, or was it taught from scratch/at a beginner level? I don't even know what half of those terms mean, and wanna learn about them. I'd also love to learn how to play by ear, I might ...

Production school
Hey everyone!
Yesterday I got back into making beats. I have neglected my 303 since I first got it, and had only made a single, mediocre track on it. I had also stopped making beats on FL for a looong time, but just yesterday I decided to take a try at making a dubstep beat and it's coming along ...

Re: How to properly change pitch on sp-303?

Echo w/ Fade?
Im trying to make an instrumental / rap for my buddies b-day, and I had a really great idea for the intro. Im sampling something from a movie saying "Happy birthday homie, happy birthday homeboy!", but then afterwards, when the person from the sample says "Make A Wish", I had an idea that I would ...

Re: Chopping samples
Oh, well yeah i dont think there is an auto chop feature on the 303 (not that I know of), so you have to do it by using the mark button.
To do that, you hold mark, and then hit the pad with the sample...it then marks it from the start to whenever you hit mark again (in this case at the end of the ...
