aha ok figured That out - GATE has to be engaged, right?

hey everybody. my simple question is: has anyone figured out a way to add effects while in pattern mode? a few months back i did some digging to find out some other cool shit (ie/ the pattern copy) but my half hour of searching here at the forums didnt turn anything up.

newbie question here: after each piece has been tweaked, you gotta re-sample it with the new fx on it, yeah? bc the 404 only plays one fx per pad....true?

great forum here peeps, but this is one i cant solve....im trying to import my sounds ( which came from a great library ). They all say they are wavs, YET some will import and some wont. im using a macbook pro. tried a converter calld 'switch' but it wouldnt work bc it says im trying to change ...
