seems like, at the end of the day, the noise kids just wanna smoke a bowl and hear some people work their machines. If theres some experimental shows going on near you I think you might be surprised how welcoming they'd be to a hip hop set or any other genre involving non-traditional formats ...

I bought a podHD500 last year and although it took a few days of remorse/paranoia I eventually got completely bound to it. You have to know a little about sound design and mixing to get a good result, especially if you want a good guitar tone, and of course RTFM, but theres some fun stuff for live ...

Check and see if theres info in the manual on a Pattern Start function, and then hopefully its on a single midi channel. Not sure about the electribe, though I'm guessing you should be able to alter what midi channel notes go out on.

thanks but just keep in mind that my productions use a lot of stuff but m is probably more representative of my 555 stuff. thats a guitarist to my kp3 to my sp555 in a live take then with some minor edits to make it sound all produced after the fact

I have too much stuff I do with it that the 404 just doesnt do.

- several drum kits

- each with saved hi hat patterns

-record a loop

-match the sequencer to the loop capture tempo by holding the tap tempo button and hitting the play button on the loop

-play pattern behind loop

-record or erase loop as needed with tempo sync'd hi hat pattern ready to keep ...

I'm running my friend on guitar through my kp3 then into the sp555. All beats were programmed on those two devices and some minor editing to the live take in ableton to make it sound a little more cohesive.
