i do this trick using a sampler editor like soundforge on my pc, but it is possible using just the sp alone. It is trickier to get right tho, and needs a bit of practice.
It's good for making tight flams and double hits on snares or hats, especially if you like beating those pads live.

Is there any way to straight copy a sample from one pad to another without using the resample function? I know you can exchange one pad with another, but lets say i have a four-bar piano loop that i want to chop across four pads - is there any function on the 404 that'll allow me to just copy it ...
