putting the bass mono only applies if you're cutting to wax.

but generally i personally tend to keep a lot of my shit mono. i go stereo for synths and shit but for my drums and bass it's all mono.

disadvantages of stereo:
reduced sampling time, which really isn't a factor.

john cage is one of my heroes. it's composers like him who have made me look differently at music and how i define it. although most of us are into producing EDM or hip-hop, it is always good to look at avant-garde artists as it is usually them who are pushing the boundaries.

could anybody recommend me some artists and albums by lo-fi, ambient, noise artists? i know a few people on this forum like these genres but i know very little about them ...
