Re: 404sx no fun to loop..
i dont know what you mean..
i like to mess with mono audio and shift the wave way above or below the zero line but it doesnt really change how it sounds , but the wave is complety moved up or down, this kinda stuff might get clicky but theres usually always ways around it .

Re: 404sx no fun to loop..
exactly, thats what i described before + what worked last night for me 2 on the sx..just tried mono samples that time..
thanks, its getting better..
oh oh oh ::: NO BPM SETTING FOR RESAMPLING!!
for record it works, resampling depends to an other universe (for roland)..

Re: 404sx no fun to loop..
so i take my offer for the 555 back on ebay...
at least: this toy is really fun + it reminds me on the times of oldschool producing. its really a deeper aproach to my sounds when working 1 hour on a loop, listening, trying, changing, trying, listening... its salutary..

Re: 404sx no fun to loop..
a new idea: when you want to loop a recorded sample (like from ext source or via resample) set the start marker on the beginning of the sample you ant to loop (hold mark + press the pad), then press "time/bpm", adjust the bpm to the value of the original sample, then hit mark for the end point ...

"save the loops" a petition for healthy loops
the lost possibility to use the loop markers on the fly is a missed oportunity on this unit. so i want to ask mr. roland to do something, update this issue.
that for i ask you to "sign"for this petitition.
just your name (email) + i will send it together with a few lines to japan.
no discussion ...

Re: 404sx no fun to loop.."workarround"...
so, i found a way, i hate this word, but its a workarround: the loop with the clicks has to be resampled (what a new term here on the sp forum..) WITH A SMALL AMOUNT OF EMPTYNESS IN THE END. loop this new sample + adjust the end point with "start/end/level" button. so now you can find the point ...

wow, thats nice not feeling so allone..!
yeah, the "one thing theory" sounds funny + true! + very logic in these times.. but thinking of smaller companies like jomox + all the others, i see more the quality aspekt in their products, more that they try to deliver out of a passion for what they are ...

Re: 404sx no fun to loop..
i think they work with different kinds of sound material.
ofcourse some hiphop beat, drum beats in general, vocal loops, fx...offer their gaps, rhytmically, + the density of the material isnt so high. so its not so hard to find or hit the working spots.
compact + dense audio needs small amounts of ...

404sx no fun to loop..
sorry for this pathetic header. i dont understand why roland makes it so hard, nearly impossible to create loops (no live looping!) from complex sounds.
1.) i cant get rid of the clicks at the loop points. NO FADE, NO 0 POINT AUTOMATISM..
2.) we have to listen to the loop from beginning to end to ...

24bit wav intern conversion in sx..!!??
hi, i know that the sx just uses 16bit files[mp3][/mp3].
now i copied 24bit from lap into the "import" folder on the sd card (so no wave converter was involved!) + ...the 404 plays them!
does it automatically convert the files??
thnx - ed

high tuned sound-noise from recording
hallo everybody,
i bought one sp202 over bay from us. looks fine but when recording over mic/line in on banks a/b there comes a hi frequent tune/noise with the input signal. audible through headphones + line out, in battery mode. THIS HAPPENS NOT ON BANKS C/D..
any ideas?
thnx - stef
