I'm having a similar problem except I'm pretty sure I'm putting the files in the right place. When I open up the flashcard on my computer it shows the roland folder and I copy and paste my samples into that space. The thing is, when I try this with one sample the 404 tells me that the card is empty ...

Where do you get the RCA to (1) quarter inch cables? I can't see any in the above link that look like they would work.

Ahhh, thanks for the reply- I brought it on ebay and thought I'd got a bad deal.
Does it take any 1gb flashcard?

Not letting me selected banks c-j when flashcard is inse

Got my 404 yesterday and it's not letting me select banks c-j for recording/playing samples even though the flashcard is inserted. I noticed that the card is 2gb (the card came with the sampler)- is that the reason it may not be working?

Any help would be much appreciated.
