Re: Saving issues?

So it turns out the 505 is fine. I just needed to RTFM LOL! Turns out I was misinterpreting the remaining sample time, missing a step in the process and running out all the sample time thinking it was saving. I've never been so happy to be an idiot. Been too long since I had a hardware sampler, I'm ...

Re: Saving issues?

OK so after reading your replies I'm going to trouble shoot the hell out of this thing tonight. If not figure out the problem maybe, I can at least get a better idea to explain it in more detail. Thanks for the replies.

Saving issues?

Long time SP fam! Glad to see the site still going. I picked up a 505 a couple months ago. Due to some IRL craziness It's been stored until now. So I finally got around to testing it out. While I really dig the workflow, layout and it's unique features there's a big issue. It takes a ridiculously ...

Re: Set-up and Midi Sync help needed!

Electribe midi out --->CR78 (KPro)
CR78 (KPro) midi thru ------>Microkorg
Microkorg midi thru -->SP404

the end

That should work. You'll have to check the manuals for the individual machines to find out how to set em to midi master/slave/sync/whatever.

Re: House of Pain (surgeries/injuries)

Crazy shit guys. I've only had surgery once, when I was a kid. I had to have a small piece of glass removed from inside my knee. Turns out it had been in there for a year or so. Didn't really hurt or anything.

The real pain however was more or less getting hit by a car. It (obviously) wasn't goin ...

Re: PC

Avoid anything with Intel GMA graphics chips, they suck. If it aint got nVidia or ATi graphics walk on by.

You want at least a 2 ghz cpu, preferably dual core. Look for at least 2gb of ramm but at your price range 3 or 4gb should be easy to find.

For the sake of compatiblility I'd say go with a 32 ...

Re: Sampler addiction?

NN-XT rules. unfortunately i don't have the patience to trudge through it since i went hardware...

I sympathize. After using the hardware samplers it's really difficult for me to go back to Reason, Renoise, Reaper, or any sampler plugins. I have all this software right here on my laptop but still ...

Re: Sampler addiction?

Right now I'm without a sampler at all. I have owned an ASX-Pro, Roland S-550, SP-303, SP-404 (twice), Akai S20, and an MS-1 that I never got working right. Out of all of em I wish I still had the 303 and the S20. Nowadays I'm considering the MPC-500.
