Thought I would mess around with some samples I got from a band's website, that are meant for remixing and what not. The samples aren't really meant for the 404 or any device except Ableton, but I thought I would experiment...

yea you know I've tried hooking up my mixer to the 404 a few times and after fiddling with it for a while I realized I don't have that send/return loop feature. Instead I have to turn on the headphone sound of the channel the 404 is on and turn on the EXT source on the 404. Then I get some feedback ...

yea you know as I start to become more familiar with the 404, I'm realizing how much more I like live looping, playing around with chopped sounds, and messing with live effects. The non-saving bpm of the pattern only makes me not want to record a beat even more because I have to put in the bpm every ...

hmmm...that seems a little retarded to me, but it must be so. Also, can you go back in and edit your patterns after you've recorded them or are they unchangeable?

I'm just starting to get the hang of the pattern sequencer, but whenever I turn my 404 back on the bpm of my pattern isn't what I left it to. Along with trying to figure out quantizing, this is a head scratcher for me.

yea I just got his new album, "Divine Recourse" with that song as the opener titled "Don't Front". Shit is fresh...and I'm stoked to see he used the 404 in its production.

yea I may have to agree...I've been looking at the padkontrol as well, and it's cheaper.

thanks....I've now taken ig9's suggestion and busted out the Handel and Mozart albums to sample some sounds. It's quite fun, but can still be a bitch to chop up. Thanks for the suggestion as well.

I've really been looking at the new Kaoss pad lately and I'm wondering what type of crazy stuff I could do with it and the 404 together? I know the pad has mostly what the 404 already covers, but I like the idea of being able to move you finger around to make the effects....I dunno, it's just me and ...

I completely agree. Right now I'm just trying to have some fun as fast as possible. I'm sure you can understand that...
