long time esx user here.. i LOVED the esx and should have never sold it. I have been using a circuit for a while and got rid of it and think im going to pick up the electribe 2 sampler.

i picked up one used a few years ago and kept it for maybe a few months.. i couldnt really figure out what to do with it.. sold it to a friend who LOVED it.. he made funky noise beats and would use it to loop stuff on top of drums he made on another device.

I dont know what kind of music you make... but it may be easier to get the sound you are looking for to sample yourself playing these things one at a time into the 404.. Read up in the manual about sampling and setting the bpm for the sample.. if you can keep eveything in the same bpm.. things ...

they released a patch editor today.. looks cool but i havent really looked THAT into it.. no sample swapping but apparently heavy synth/parameter editing..

more curious if you were in the us.. I have an sp-606 i would let go for pretty cheap and some korg volcas i would probably sell too.. i have the bass and beats...

I would suggest trying out as much gear as you can.. guitar center and sam ash or whatever music stores your area has are your friends.. I wanted to like an SP super bad and have owned several.. and still own a 606.. but i cannot get into the groove of making music with them..I have used and loved ...
