cool. what daw are you using? it is super cool to add stereo efx and stuff to your sequences!

I use software multitrack recorder sony acid pro 6, and am learning in cakewalk sonar 7 producer edition (soft by ROLAND). There is so many changes against acid. I need video course......heh

Every foot controller will work with sp-404 thru midi if u will use machine like Behringer BCF2000 i think. It has input for expression and sustain pedal and midi out send note on or off to midi in on sp-404. But it wants somebody to check out this method of connection. I will have bcf i few months ...

24-bit is important for processing in DAW. There you can get superior sound than 16-bit samples....of course you will need more powerful computer if u will playback for example 20 tracks in 24-bit

12 voice of polyphony is actually a good fair amount. Say your playing kick, snare, hihat, ride, conga, bass, 3 note chord and 1 note lead in mono. and thats only 10. And for the 404 thats unrealistic since you will probably be sampling short phrases and chords already.
