Hi all
Just bought my Sp555. Pretty impressive having come from an RS7000. Can anyone tell me how I go about uploading samples into the 555 with out using a compactflas card reader?
Surely there must be a way to transfer the samples from my computer to the flashcard in my 555 via USB without having to remive the card and put it into a card reader everytime?
Looking forward to your help
Cheers

You need a card reader :( however... the SP-555 is able to record audio from your computer via USB input. I Guess they where not able to make it an audio/midi interface and card reader on just plain ol USB.

Yeah it's seems like an obvious feature to include if you're already going to add a usb port to the sampler. Then you could use it as a pad controller for a software DAW, which I would prefer since I like the roland pads a lot. The closest thing is the korg padkontrol but I actually like how the roland pads are smaller since I have small hands, I can actually play the 303 pads live with more dexterity then I could play the mpc style pads live.
