Functions of Purchase sp404sx or sp 555

Hello, I shall like having information conserning several functions before a future purchase, I hesitate between Sp404sX and Sp555.
Thus concerning " loops in capture (in the external source) " I know that when we recording in a Pattern/Pad or Bank, There is a latent period, I want to know if during a capture of loop coming from an external sound, can we " looper " directly without recording as a CD player in loop mode of a point A towards B (or In and Out it is the similar)???
If it is feasible, we can shorten her(it) (always by being in the mode capture) for example, a loop in the mode capture on 8 Beats then 4 2 1 1/2 1/4 and to return to the loop of origin???
Other thing, How long can we Looper "Mode Loop Capture" and Read when we put his samples own via his pc???
Finally, it is possible to accumulate "several" Pattern (of 1 in 12 (or 16 for Sp555)).
I listen there, if I press on Pattern 1 and what leaves loop there, and when I press on Pattern 2 and so on.
