Here's the sample for the next battle;

Something a bit different! It's a minimal techno remix by a guy called James Holden. But there's quite a lot in there - some crunchy drums, nice pads and with a bit of filtering a selection of bass notes. There's also a fair amount of space at the beginning so it should be easy to get some clean cuts. Will be really interested to see what can be done...

Don't know when to set a deadline for this tho... Maybe two weeks (cos the last one's only just finished!). Juxt - I'll let you decide

when IG9 was mod the deadline was set to one week. The only way the deadline can be extended is if not enough soldiers submit a beat in time.

That beats hella hard I might get in on this one. I've been feelin' myself lately, I just tracked out 15 songs last night/this morning.

One week's cool - I guess the time limit is half the point - otherwise I probably wouldnt get off my ass to get it finished!

I have no idea what I'm gonna do with it yet either, but thought it would be good to pick something a bit different to get those creative brain cells working (I think I killed quite a few of them last weekend!)

Hmmm... possibly a Merck-style electronic number... we shall see.

I have to admit my own efforts have proved trickier than I first thought. Have got a sick beat laid down but have been having problems getting melodies/hooks.

Will definately have a banger by next week tho...

i'm workin on it but its very difficult.
