aite so i finally got a turntable earlier in the summer and been fuxin wit it for a while. . .got a few questions

been busy as shit all summer so havent worked on beats that much but when i have ive been trying to sample viynl and have not been able to finish a damn beat. . .anyone else have this problem when going from sampling from like youtube etc to records?

also ive played a couple of live shows since i got it and got a mixer so i cud scratch crossfading from my sp or comp to the turntable. every show i played (3) u cudnt hear the turntable or it was scratchy and fuzzy as shit. i fucked with all the levels on my mixer and the pa with no results. This may be a problem with my mixer rather than the table idk. . .or cud it be the cartridge?

cud it be my settings on the table? like the antiskating and all that shit? i dont really know much about those settings i guess i shud take the time to learn

my table seems really quiet. . .

also my mixer works real well when im using at my house through a little speaker (not really blasting it just loud enough to jam and shit) but whenever i go to use it live it seems like it cant handle that amount of sound and comes out really distorted. . .ive had to resort to running all my shit into separate tracks on the PA which sucks because i cant crossfade i have to use the regular fader on the PA for my turntable(eventhough u cant hear it anyway)

sorry for the essay and multiple questions and problems but someone help plzzzzzz

what kind of turntable and mixer do you have? some tt have switch that either makes it phono or line level...... some mixers actually dont have phono inputs or have the line/phono switch....could be your needle to... whenever you screw the needle in, blow on the tip, blow in the tone arm and gently lick the end that goes in the tone arm then blow on it so its not wet, sometimes dirt or dust gets in there and fucks shit up.

as far as having a problem when switching source material to vinyl...only thing i can offer is to pull all the samples you plan on using from a particular record for a particular track all at the same time or at least without doing anything else with your gear in between sampling.... if you are using the pitch on tt chances are you wont get it exactly back where you had it and same thing with your volumes and shit....
