hello. just bought a used sp-555 from an owner i don't trust.
first question is-i notice sampled sounds are very low compared to sounds running through the sp-555 Iwhen i use it like a soundcard). this makes me think the ins and outs are not the issue. but should this volume discrepancy be the case? like if i play something through it is loud but if i sample a piece of the loud music, that sample is then soft. is the sp trying to give me room to add effects, etc without distortion? i have upped the pad velocity and volume and global fixed pad velocity to the highest levels and still find the samples are really low.
a lot of the original sounds were deleted from the sp i bought. i was planning on deleting them myself but i'd like to start fresh. is there somewhere online to download the contents of the original CD that came with the unit?
final question-do many sp-555s have issues with the card readers? three units i checked out all had this issue.
