Change VOLUME on individual pads while playing???

I don't seem to understand:

Can you play several samples at once, and then adjust the volume of each one while they are still playing?

Say I have pads 3, 4 and 7 playing - I want to fade out pad 4, cranck up pad 7, then fade in pad 4 again, and so on... But it seems I can only change the volume of the last pad I hit.

Is there a way to select a pad for volume editing, smthng like "effect assign" but for volume?

Thanks

no. there isn't.

yr best bet is to use 'remain', select the pad, hit level, adjust the volume.

it aint pretty, but it is a workaround. it worx on the 404, should work on the 555 as well.

read more about it in the 404 tricks 'n' tips section.

good luck.

I have used the volume adjust. But for me using the hall reverb full out on the first two knobs (meaning from left to right the first two knobs should be turned all the way up)

Then you can select which pads you want to make more quiet and kind of fade them out. Or select a non playing pad and turn the dry/wet all the way up, trigger the pad and bring the dry level up. It will sound like a fade in to the audience.

It does take up your effects slot but it works really well. even with drums. I really like doing this trick on basses too.

I hope it helped.

yup, that's good. you can also use the subsonic effect with knobs 1 & 2 completely off, and knob three completely on. as you roll it counter clockwise, yr tracks fade in. obvs, you can stop half-way and have half volume.

i just donno if the subsonic effect is on the 555. this is a 404 workaround.
