Yeah, In Europe the beast cost like 620 Euros...and it was like 450 when it came out... that's really strange. Things usually get cheaper in year or two but this one is oposite.
Does anyone know if 555 is still in production?

i dont think the 555 is gonna get much play, its just a 404 with a loop capture. theres no other reason to buy it at that price when you can just get the 404, they aern't that different. i bought one and if i know what i know now i woulda just got a 404. but i bought mine for 580, clearence at guitar center, dam sure wasnt paying 799 for that shit, not even worth that cause a 404 is like 400. that be 300 bucks for a looper and a d beam. and 4 more pads.

Yeah, it's nuts. I remember I bought one for 450€ over a year ago and sold it for 300€ or so. It's been crazy ever since.

550€, 595€, heck at some places it's even more expensive in the Netherlands now, like up to 649€.

In sharp contrast, the 404 is 269€. But the SP-404sx is like at least 100 bucks more expensive.

Wow I guess I lucked out. I just got a used one that was really just a new return the day after Christmas for $300 from Guitar Center (which is usually terrible for deals).

HD is right roland is shitting in peoples mouth selling 404's for 400 bucks still, you can get a laptop for 5 bills that makes beats and much more. I'll stick with the 303 until they price things reasonably, I mean electronics parts and chips from china don't cost shit and neither do the boxes they put this stuff in. For the people that dislike making beats on a laptop like myself and still don't have an SP, the 404 is the best all around well priced option.
