Agreed. I can't believe how Akai have managed to continously release essentially the same box year after year after year. I'm guessing it still sports a 'generous' two effect processors? Move on, Akai!

...and I thought the 404 update was whack...
Now the SX shines like a newborn...
What did they actually changed ? blue display, new casing, ... what else?
I guess it's still coming with 16MB RAM only...?! ..but yeah it looks cool... not as cool as the black one though...
Did you noticed that they used the 404 pad-colour for the bank-buttons...? I mean copying stuff is cool, but make sure you copy the good aspects...

Nothing, but it's coming stock with CD/DVD drive and maxed RAM now if I understand correctly.
I think Akai is realizing which sampler is actually their current 'flagship' in terms of true popularity. I wouldn't be too surprised if at some point they're going to give it a fresh OS update, but that's about all you can expect from this re-issue.
So yeah, until then, it's still very much the same machine.
