well I dug them all (really)

I liked the angle Steve c and kel took on it. more like a soundtrack piece.
everyone else including me came at it with more of a beat oriented style

kel managed to have the foreboading intro and then bring a dope kit in and make a head nodder out of the end.

vote goes to kel. big up!!!!

ORMO

it was a toss up between ormo and kel for me. but in the end i went for kel you dropped some heavy ish!

i enjoyed everyones music and unique takes on the samples definitely.

Oaxaca ripped it in my opinion.. he turned that sample into sum crazy ass chant...soo dope... and then it turns into a lower pitch which was nuts. That's sum next level chamber music lol loving the vibe

All you cats ripped those samples apart , every song was a trip but in the end Oaxaca got my vote, with honorable mentions to teewok and ormo

(OT...:Harmony i asked your myspace friendship too: you have cool psychedelic folk sounds...do you like animal collective? pavement? clouddead?)

I've got to give em all another spin before I vote, but here's what I think so far:

Teewok: Very nice use of the samples, good overall style as well.

harmony one: Very cool, has a sort of latin vibe to it. Digging that a lot man.

SteveC: Very dark stuff, crazy usage of FX, very creative.

kel: not quite my cup of tea, but very creative and had an even darker atmosphere to it than SteveC's beat.

dp: Digging the kick and bass drum rhythm. Not so much the sample loop though.

ellaguru: It had a bit too much gain, but I'm digging the lo-fi-ness of your beat

Ormo: Very experimental as well, couldn't quite distinguish it all though. Listened on laptop speakers though.

Oaxaca: Has a good flow, digging the sample chops too. Had the best kit. Nice job.

wundrkut: Nice intro and cool consistent house-like beat. Probably had the best production.

my vote goes to harmony one. I was hesitating cuz of Tee's beat which came close second.

most of those beats were literally crazy

yeah you cant hear the main "organ" type melody without a good amount of bass for your speakers or some headphones

i think i understand what you mean, infact i'm searching for monitors (yamaha hs50m), so i would make my beats and noises sounds better...
for now i play/record with two hifi speakers, and step by step, beat by beat, i see different comments/critics around how my tracks sound (also in other forums), so i think it's time to change thos speakers...
