Aite I know u guys are hungry so i have a SERIOUS sample for u guys to flip make some absolutely insane shit. I saw these guys live in my city for a free concert about a year ago and instantly I became a fan of their music.. The groups called "Cinematic Orchestra", a British-based jazz/electronic band.. and the sample is too ill trust me... I expect nothing but classic beats in this battle! I've also provided a drum break.

Cinematic Orchestra - Child Song

Drum Break

RULES:
-> External pitching is allowed for sample and break (I'd like to see a variety of tempos)
-> Everything else must be done in your SP or MV, and SP or MV only... (All SP/MV effects welcome - Timestretching welcome)
-> No external equipment to be used (aside from pitching the samples)... This means no external bass/synths, no sound effects, no external sequencing, nothing other than the samples provided.
-> If you have multiple Roland samplers... just use one
..... and I think that's it 8)

DEADLINE: Friday Nov. 13th (Poll goes up on the 14th)

Good luck to all and let's hear some shit!

Everything else must be done in your SP, and SP only.

As these are the Open Challenges its totally up to you, but this also means you're excluding people that have no SP... uhm, like me.

I'm going to flip this anyways, even if it means not ending up in the voting poll. I'm in it for the fun only anyway. :)

Anyways, proceed! 8)

not so hot but man that sample was really hard for me. only used the song sample, the break wouldn't load on my ipod.

My bad on the lack of openness in this open challenge! ... but i like the way the regular battles are done so... yeah lol... But I mean, on the other hand, the sample has so much to it...theres a break...bass is easy to pull out.. I'd say its pretty open

Nice work on the beat Kel! I swear there was like one recognizable part of the sample in ur beat and it was a quick piano stab haha. Dope flip
