So.. basically, the rules would be 2 samples, usually one with drums inside or a separate drumbreak and no outside ish. SP gear only.

(check the Rules thread in the Arena forums area)

.. ( YOU CAN NOT **** change pitch [edit: no Time Stretch pitching allowed, using FX is fine PHeMoX] add your own bass, drums etc.)

Dam can't change the pitch, that's pretty hardcore.

ONLY Sp's, ONLY sounds from the samples provided. No stock sounds from samplers onboard original sounds. Why is this so difficult to understand? I guess it is because there were some open battles and you could use what ever you wanted.

I think pitching the sound was always allowed, using the SP. It's usually pretty essential.

Usually the winner decides on the main chunk of rules, so if we want pitching to be allowed, then it's up to Culprit.

I would however like to see the SP battles continue as 'SP' battles.

Its still meant to be a battle with many entrants..

the only thing I would suggest about rules is that if of can be done within your sp then it should be fair game.

like rock the pitch effect but don't sample it to your mpc5000 and pitch it there

there are like 4 different ways to change the pitch using effects and thats why im confused. subsonic, djfx looper, pitch and the other one.
so if im correct, none of that.
i just wanna be sure before i start rocking out since there is so much talk about the rules.
