both of the samples are on some mellow ish. One of em has some great bass walks in it. Get creative but I don't have to tell you guys that.



Rules:

You can incorporate either both samples or just one of em.
Outside drums and bass allowed, no other synths. u can use other machines or programs for pitch if u like as well. pretty much same rules as the battle 55.



Deadline:

7 days from now if u need more time let me know ahead of time its all good, and im not enterin this one well i still wanna flip the samples, but ill have a lil prize for the winner. the all city 10" release or the fat city ep whichever drops first which will be end of this month or early nov.

Hey, are we going to make this SP Battle 56 or Open Challenge number 5 ?

I think this one should be Open Challenge 5, because of the added rules and such, right?

But as Dibia$e won both the OC and the last battle, this one could be Battle 56 as well. Any thoughts on this? (It's all good to me by the way, better would be if Dibia$e comes up with yet another pair of samples to mangle. )

Samples are really nice. I'm trying to free some time for this...

as for the rules, i think they are great. the sp is useful for more than just sampling. doing live bass etc is so fun and good to learn/get better at. i understand that a 404 is a "sampler" but it doesnt mean thats all you can do with it. i think this is a great opportunity for anyone to learn how to do things such as bass using keys. its fun no matter how you look at it and i cant wait to hear what everyone uses for this battle.

its cool to set limits to learn how to use this thing, but after 55 battles i think it should be cool to step out of the "sampling only" format and add some different flavour to this ish. i think it should be up to the last winner how the format should be. or what?

Alright, seems like this is simply going to be Battle 56 then.

( We'll need some samples for an Open Challenge 5 too though, but there's no rush when Battle 56 ain't SP only. )

once i get the actual copies ill have a few for promo , but ill get the winners address and mail as soon as i get it. but its definitely some heavy stuff on there. just a lil something for the battle cause that is hard work. and these battles been pretty good all round styles.

subsonic bass is dope but that cant be used on every beat. basslines is my favorite part of the beat . i heard some beats that couldve won battles but was missin the bassline. but its all good this should be an interestin battle as well. cant wait to hear everyone flip

i flipped it late last night but could help but drop some g-funk wobbles on it...so ill have to take it down a notch haha
