these came out strange but very interesting. hd had a real nice groove going on there. kel's has a ton of depth, sounds great on headphones. I like the growling to go along with the squeak toy ha. elhuana had some sick "bass"! ellaguru totally went off the deep end with those crazy vocals, but it was awesome. had to go with ellaguru yooooooo hd in close second tho.

tanks for da votes

hhmm, box.net won't let me stream, only download? nevermind, these are all 'keepers' anyhow
elhau - love the vocalising, and those 'finger clicks'. bassline sits really nice below the rest. nice boom-bap drum patterns, i think the beatbox tones work well
ellaguru - 'drums' are really nice and realistic. singing is also nice, very involved. the music in the chorus is especially nice, with those pitchy voice samples
kel - damn, that bass is nice, really well EQ'd. the squeaky toy works fantastically for rhythmic percussion. nice minimalistic and atmospheric groove, reminds me heaps of Burial (dubstep producer)
iiiii - i knew there'd be rhymes on this one! music is great, heaps of 'familiar' sounds that the mind tries to place...quite psychedelic actually.
hurling - love that filtering and bouncy echo, great intro. groove is damn solid, very rhythmically interesting. the 'melodies' almost seem rhythmic too, very entrancing
another tough choice! think i gotta go with HD on this one though, IMO it had a real interesting edge that i liked

Yo! Interesting stuff guys! I voted for kel this time! I would have wanted to join this battle (as I suggested this idea some 25 battles ago but back then it didn't get much response) but I've just been busy, inactive and lazy lately. Maybe we'll do another round sometime!

so we 2 won the #50, hurlingdervish?
congratulations!
peace to all the other beats, it was really equilibrated and very interesting this time.
i want to thanks kel which have the idea of this "Mic night": this made me use fx (isolator, eq, canceller etc) on my sp-303 that i never thought to use or known...and made me also try to rediscover the voice as an instrument..
anyway, billy jean is ok for me.

Pretty cool how a digital community becomes analog, isn't it? We didn't had that much time to get down on beats but maybe there will be a new clash in august. I'm down for whoever of you dudes is in town.
...except computers...
The first of you makin a million should make a fat sp-forums party... word!
