tempo and external source
is there anyway to hear the click/tempo while i am recording from an external source such as a guitar or synth? i want to record a guitar part but want to be able to record in time.
Re: tempo and external source
nope. i would just go to a piano store and get a metronome...then set the record tempo to the same as the metronome. then start strumming your guitar or trumpet or flute or banjo or piano or whatever you want to record. then you will have wonderful music for all to love.

what I do is record the beat without the guitar or synth part into aaudacity, any daw will do tho ....
then have that beat playing whilst you record into the 303, or any sp....
then once you have the part recorded set the start end points right and it will all be in time...
then layer it up in the sequencer and your sorted
hope this helps

In a situation like that, I would let the 303 play the background music and then play on time to it with the guitar or such into a recording device. Later on you can take the guitar parts, sample them and chop them how you like.

unfortnately i think that the only sp able to doing that is the 606.
