good tip i discover today (ROLL)

Post by ellaguru »

hi guyz
i want to share this thingy with you.
today i discover this tip with the beast. it's a ROLL tip. if you're bored of your drum loops, you can give them a new life!
so, i know you can obtain the same thing with sp-303 and 404 beasts, but that's how i make it with the 505:
-take a drum loop
-wave edit>pad play>gate
-isolate a snare (for example): loop>start>end
-can you hear it?
-don't exit if you want. Resample it.
-now you have a ROLL...
peace

Man, never thought of that! As they say, you can't see what's too obvious...

Big ups!

I been signed up to this site, but my laptop had been broken. I tried that trick and it has been a life saver because now i do not need to smash my head into my sp-505 to make nice drums lol

ahaha
thanx.
you can try different ROLL with this tip. for example:if you record a ROLL and then you change the pitch scale or even the bpm...or even the accent/velocity...

hey - can someone post an example of this in action?

like, maybe a before and after version of a drum break?
